The issue facing Virginias this Election Day 2013 could not be more black and white. On the left side of the isle is the progressive candidate Terry McAuliffe who supports Obamacare and has stated that he will implement it in Virginia if he becomes governor. On the other side is the conservative candidate, Ken Cuccinelli who is not only against Obamacare, but led the charge as Virginia’s Attorney General to defeat it. In other words, he didn’t just say he was opposed to the law, he actually tried to do something about it.
If there is one thing we know for certain, it is that Obamacare will destroy health care as we know it in the United States, and will probably kill the economy in the process. The last month since it’s implementation has left no doubt about that.
The president lied when he said you could keep your health insurance if you like it. He lied when he said that the cost of health insurance would go down under Obamacare and the president lied when he said you could keep your doctor if you want too. Terry McAuliffe completely endorses these lies as a supporter of this president and as a supporter of Obama’s health care scheme. McAuliffe has publicly stated that he will expand Obamacare in Virginia should he become governor.
If Terry McAuliffe becomes governor of Virginia, any protections we here in the Commonwealth hope to have against the destructive policies of the federal government will be gone. McAuliffe will not seek to insulate Virginia from Washington, he will embrace DC and seek to enact the very same policies destroying the country. He will become a mirror image of Obama.
Your choice is clear, If you support progressive big government policies like Obamacare, cast your vote for Terry McAuliffe. If, on the other hand, you support liberty, your choice is crystal clear. A vote for Ken Cuccinelli is a vote for liberty. This election is no more complicated than that.
