Rock Bottom

We all have a breaking point, a point at which we finally say enough’s enough.  Drug addicts call it hitting rock bottom and even though they spend years sticking needles in themselves, fighting to hold on to relationships and struggling to keep a job, they continue until they get to their perceived low point.  To most of us sober and sane individuals, we see this behavior and fight to comprehend how somebody can literally live each and every day doing everything humanly possible to destroy themselves.  We look at them and see what is happening and wonder why they can’t see it too and do something to stop it before it’s too late.

When I see how the American people sit idly by and accept what their government is doing to them, I think of the drug addict scenario above.  I wonder how long it will be before most Americans hit rock bottom and finally decide to take the needle out of their arm and break the addiction that has led to the taking away of their liberty in exchange for the false sense of security promised by the tyrants currently running the country.

Does it bother you that a man in Oregon is now in jail for 30 days because according to the government, he illegally trapped and stored rainwater on his property?  Does it upset you that the TSA regularly gropes children in an effort to stop Muslim terrorist from blowing up airplanes?  Are you in the least bit upset that the federal government now has the authorization to detain indefinitely U.S. citizens without a warrant if they are suspected of being a terrorist, violating their right to due process?  How about the President of the United States making laws via executive order while the congress sits on their asses and watches?  Sounds like the work of a dictator to me, how about you?  Are you scared because agencies like the National Weather Service and the Social Security Administration are buying hundreds of thousands or rounds of ammo?  If you aren’t, you should be.

Unlike most American’s who are too busy or too stupid to care,  I had enough a long time ago and I don’t plan on sitting by while the government, local, state or federal, violates my basic human rights.  And in case you think that it was the current administration who finally brought me to rock bottom, you would be mistaken.  My rock bottom occurred long before Obama, or even Bush was elected to office.  It doesn’t seem to matter which party holds power, they both want control over my world and both parties will not stop until they have taken away ever last bit of liberty I enjoy.

What will be your rock bottom?  When will you say, enough’s enough!?  Will being arrested for making a post on Facebook questioning your government get you there?  Will your child being sexually assaulted while boarding a plane to Disney World be the breaking point?  How about a tank rolling through your church resulting in women and children being murdered?  Well I guess as long as it’s not your wife or child it’s okay, right?

Dear American citizen, you are being robbed of your liberty by the very government that you have elected and it is entirely your fault that it is happening.  It’s time to stand with the rest of us who have had enough and fight this immoral and illegal destruction of our constitution that will eventually result in all of us being put back into chains.  (Thanks to Plugs Biden for the inspiration for that one.)
