Did You Vote?
June 12, 2012 // 0 CommentsThe sad reality of primary races is that people don’t vote.
Typically 8% of the population shows up to vote in a primary race. Pathetic. I voted today at 1:30. I was alone but for the election workers. It took less than 4 minutes from the time I walked in the door, till the time I got outside with my “I Voted” sticker.
It’s sad that this is too much of an inconvenience for many, 92% of the registered voters to be precise.
When people say that our soldiers are “dying to protect our freedom” I guess they are not talking about our duty and right to vote. They must be talking about our freedom to shirk that duty and to roll over and play dead. Or maybe it’s our freedom to watch American Picker reruns all day. Am I being too melodramatic? It is a true statement that “all that is necessary for evil to triumph, is for good people to do nothing”
Did you know that this nation was founded by 3%-4% of the populace? That most colonists couldn’t have cared less that we were under the boot of a tyrant? Well that percentage has reversed itself. People that love government control, government invasion of our homes, and citizens tyrannized by government, are voting consistently in primary races at a rate similar to that rate that founded this nation. But patriots are not.
Here is my prediction of the outcome of today’s primary IF good people stay home. IF they do, and the establishment shows up, they will succeed in saddling us with a person who is NOT a conservative. Who doesn’t love liberty. And who has a track record that says “I will not represent you, but will serve my corporate masters”. You all know who I’m talking about.
IF principled people stay home, and the typical primary 8% turnout is all we get. George Allen will get around 3.9% of the vote, followed closely by Jamie Radtke, then Bob Marshall and E.W. Jackson will take up the rear.
This doesn’t have to happen. IF WE VOTE!!!!!

Lynchburg Tea Party President
Campbell County Republican Chairman
P.S. If you are in the 6th district. I’d recommend voting for Karen Kwiatkowski.
