In the wake of George Allen’s fake tea party support Jamie Radtke has announced broad GOP support which will go nicely with her already broad support of Virginia Tea Party Patriots across the commonwealth.

Campaigning at conservative forum in Rockbridge, instead of Homestead resort

U.S. Senate hopeful Jamie Radkte has informed Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) Chairman Pat Mullins she will not be attending the annual meeting at the Homestead resort in Hot Springs, Virginia this weekend. Instead, the Tea Party Republican plans to participate in an event hosted by several conservative groups.

Radtke will take part in a candidates’ forum arranged by numerous conservative groups in and around the Sixth Congressional District.  This event will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, December 3, at the Stonebridge Center in Natural Bridge Station.

In a letter to RPV Chairman Pat Mullins that expressed her best wishes for a successful Advance, Radtke also announced her endorsement by several GOP leaders, including two former Chairmen of the Republican Party of Virginia — Patrick M. McSweeney (1992 – 1996) and Jeffrey M. Frederick (2008 – 2009).

The text of Radtke’s letter to RPV Chairman Mullins, as well as statements of support from the former chairmen, appear below:

========================
Dear Pat:

Congratulations on the Republican Party of Virginia’s role in the 2011 elections. Many conservatives across the Commonwealth worked very hard for those victories.

I know you are very gratified to know Republicans will control both chambers of the General Assembly. My thoughts will be with you as the members of the Republican State Central Committee gather this weekend to celebrate the outcome of the November elections. I will be participating in a conference of conservative activists meeting in the Shenandoah Valley.

Pat, I also want to commend you for your decision to sponsor Republican Senate Primary debates this spring. You are setting an example of building our party from the grassroots up, in the tradition of your predecessors like former State Chairmen Patrick McSweeney and Jeffrey Frederick – both of whom have endorsed my campaign.

I’m proud to have their support, as well as the support of numerous current and former State Central committee members, local party chairmen and other Republican leaders across the Commonwealth.

Again, my best wishes for a successful Advance. I look forward to talking with you again soon.

All My Best,
Jamie Radtke

========================

Virginians need to elect a Senator in 2012 who is fully committed to reining in the federal government. It must be someone who will resist the culture of Washington. A principled conservative who will stand by pledges made during the campaign. Someone who understands the aspirations and concerns of average Virginians and who will represent their interests competently, consistently and aggressively. I have concluded that Jamie Radtke is that person.
Patrick M. McSweeney (RPV Chairman, 1992 – 1996)

Jamie Radtke is a solid constitutional conservative who isn’t afraid to take on the political establishment of any party. She will make a fantastic citizen legislator in a body filled with career politicians, and will be someone we can count on to fight on behalf of all Virginians against the special interests and entrenched politicians who have put our nation and our children’s future in jeopardy. Washington must learn to live within its constitutional and legal limits, and within its financial means – just like families and small businesses must do day in and day out. Jamie will be a strong advocate for these principles, and Amy and I are proud to support her campaign for the United States Senate.
Jeffrey M. Frederick (RPV Chairman, 2008 – 2009)
