Locks, Laws and The Constitution

Likely as not, most folks believe locks are for honest people. Some grease ball intent on burglarizing your home or vehicle see them as a bit of a nuisance or simply an occupational hazard. Nothing a good thief can’t overcome.

To an honest person it signals unwanted entry or perhaps just a privacy thing. The honest person will respect that. To a thief, a challenge! Like, “you know dude, last night I got by 2 Yales, a Kwikset and an Ace Deadbolt, all in under 60 seconds!”

Then there are laws. Much the same as locks with regard to good folks. Laws are for the lawless! I’m of the opinion the vast majority of laws do not protect people or property. People protect people, themselves and property. Laws give the authorities some tool to deal with offenders. More laws just generate additional paper work for all the good they do. Those that ignore one law will ignore another. Folks that abide by and respect the laws that exist could care less about more, until some of the laws or simple Executive Orders, begin to infringe on personal rights and liberties.

This does take place and as a result the ‘more security provided the less freedom you have’ phrase begins to ring true! If you are over 3 years old surely you’ve heard something about all this!

As an elected or appointed government official the oath includes “..swear to up hold the Constitution of the United States…”. Why then, do I think it is the intent of this administration to up-end the Constitution? Simply a lack of honor. Many other admirable traits could be listed here but unnecessary because you already know.

The Constitution was written by honorable men for honorable men. Much of what we see in Washington is anything but honorable. As with locks and laws this administration is hell bent on the destruction of our Constitution and our nation. The Constitution, to many in this administration, is an occupational hazard, a nuisance. They shield themselves with it’s content when it’s to their advantage but ignore it for self serving and abusive action.

Executive Order, redistribution of power, as a result of such, is the Modus Operandi of virtually all things in this Executive Branch.

Extension of power to Homeland Security, is Janet upset? Of course not! She is the power by proxy.

Immigration, is it really a problem?Only when those most affected try to address it! I.E. Arizona, Alabama and others. The Feds will not do their job but jump the governors that try. What Brewer and others have against them is their infringement of a huge voter base for Obama and his transformation plans. Nothing to do with this ‘Securing our borders’ nonsense. Janet has been quoted saying the borders are safer now than ever. I’d have to wonder if she isn’t talking about the safety of those crossing illegally. But, maybe I’m jumping conclusions here.

Sanctuary cities are a plus for this administration for the same reason as illegal entry. Do the Feds try to prevent sanctuary cities? Well, what’s the word everyone uses now, DUH?

The EPA is not an arm of the law. Recommendations made by this department are to be submitted to Congress. But hey, that screws up the transformation plan. Obama has circumvented Congress so many times Congress has to be thinking that’s the way it’s supposed to be! Lets just do it and see if we can get away with it. This administration has created such an abyss of debt, Congress shouldn’t have to worry about stuff like Fugitive Dust. Congressman Hurt did. It was stopped, they didn’t get away with it.

We can’t drill for oil or gas, we can’t run pipe lines for oil or gas and heaven forbid we pipe water to farmland in California. There’s a little fish we have to consider, much like the California rats Pelosi was screaming about saving the other year. Besides, I’m sure Chinese tomatoes are great! The problem here would be illegals getting into China to harvest!

Then there is the Department of Justice, Attorney General Eric “I’ll prosecute as I see fit” Holder. Fast and Furious, (again if you are over 3 years old you‘ve heard,) would be a Rum Runners’ dream come true. Think about it, if Joe Kennedy had the DOJ on his side during Prohibition … wait, I may need to get back with you on that! Either way, you understand what’s happening here.

Another interesting tid-bit, the DOJ and Estelle Rogers, a former ACORN attorney is now the Director of Advocacy for Project Vote (Project Vote, Obama worked with this group) seem to have a budding relationship. Appears some Associate Attorney General by the name of Perrelli have begun a drive to push up states’ welfare rolls, food stamp recipients and others on various forms of relief programs, then see they register to vote. This can be done under the guise of the National Voting Rights Act. Every vote counts! Not that this has anything to do with Holder’s ridiculous stance against Voter ID cards, but it could!

Fortunately, a few Congressman and Senators, are reaching outside their comfort zone for the American people. Challenging this administration on every blink of the eye is our only hope. I do not trust the people in this Administration today, I will not trust them tomorrow and if at all possible, we can get them out of office, I still won’t trust them!

I’m a firm believer in learning from mistakes… we all should learn from the mistake made in 2008!
