Agenda 21 aka Sustainable Development
April 5, 2011 // 1 CommentIt was only about 5 or 6 months ago that I first heard about Sustainable Development. Sounded good until I started to look into it more and get into some of the details of it and I found that it was another nefarious attempt by the leftist in the world to gain more and more control while putting down America at the same time. The worst part is, there are some in this country that are going right along with the program, some by choice, most out of ignorance. Either way, the end result isn’t good. All you have to do is look at where all of this came from to know this.
Agenda 21 originated out of the United Nations in 1974 with its most ardent supporter being a man by the name Maurice Strong. Mr. Strong is the original Al Gore and was once quoted as saying, “We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse.” It was officially unveiled by the UN in 1992.
From Agenda 21 comes the term “Sustainable Development” or “Smart Growth” which entered into the vocabulary in the 1990’s with both terms being used in the U.S. in place of Agenda 21. They are in fact the same thing with a different name.
“Sustainable Development” is meant to depict the proper balance between social equity aka social justice (redistribution of wealth), the environment and economic development.
President Bush 41 originally signed on to implement Agenda 21 and was later followed by President Clinton who signed an executive order which created the President’s Council on Sustainable Development. They operated from 93 – 99 and recommended 150 policies that were taken directly from Agenda 21.
In 2007, the Virginia legislature passed HB 3202 which mandated that counties establish High Density Urban Development Areas or UDUDA. The origins of this are the President’s Council on Sustainable Development which has its origins from the UN’s Agenda 21.
Cap and Trade comes straight out of Agenda 21.
What it all Means
- · 2 major components of Sustainable Growth are population control and bio-equity (all living things have rights equal to humans)
- · Populations living in government controlled urban enclaves (villages). We will live, work and socialize within these enclaves. (preplanned population zones)
- · Private property rights are taken away. (property is controlled by the state)
- · Private property and single family homes are deemed non-sustainable.
The American Thinker calls Agenda 21 from which Sustainable Development is derived as “one of the greatest threats to their (Americans) freedom.”
Read the above bullet points and compare them to Stafford’s Comprehensive Plan. Do you see any similarities?
Like all of the Marxist agenda that today’s modern Democrat party is pushing on us, Sustainable Development on the surface appears to be rooted in good intentions but when you dig deeper, you see that it is just another way for them to try and control us, the people. And like most of the lefts agenda, it must be stopped.
